Our Natural Surroundings Provide the Medium

Butter Hill Artisans is a small, home-based artisan studio, located in Upstate, NY.

We have always been interested in rocks and crystals, and how the earth naturally creates the most beautiful things, including rocks, crystals, clay, and metals. We became very interested in incorporating these natural elements into things that other people can appreciate. Every item on our site was created by us using raw materials. Our farm, located in the Hudson Valley of NY, is the perfect setting for inspiring art!

Our jewelry utilizes recycled silver and copper, which we process and smelt ourselves, along with raw rock slabs, which we cut, form into cabochons,, polish, and set right here on our farm. All pottery is made of either earthenware or stoneware, and is thrown, glazed and fired by us, here on our farm as well.
